What inspired you to join the Panhellenic Council Exec? As a Recruitment Counselor for Formal Recruitment in 2022 I loved getting to meet all of the potential new members and watch them fall in love with our community like I had a year prior! I decided to run for VP of Recruitment External in 2023 because I wanted to continue to help not only PNMs but the ASU Panhellenic community as a whole navigate through recruitment! After serving my first term I decided to run for Panhellenic President because our community is truly one of a kind and I wanted to give back to the people and place who have given me so much throughout my college experience!

What advice would you give to someone considering joining a sorority? Go into recruitment with an open mind and heart, and trust the process! Everyone says this and it might not make sense at first but you truly do end up exactly where you are supposed to be! So enjoy getting to meet all of the amazing women through out the process!

What inspired you to join the Panhellenic Council Exec? From when I first started formal recruitment as a freshman I fell in love with so many different chapters. The girls in each of these chapters were remarkably kindhearted, supportive and above all genuine. I’ve had the privilege of being friends with girls from all different chapters and I couldn’t be more thankful to say I’ve found my lifelong friends in the panhellenic community.

What advice would you give to someone considering joining a sorority? I would say it’s a decision that you will never regret. You will continuously be grateful for the opportunity and friendships that come along with being in one. These relationships are unlike anything I’ve had before and they are no doubt the most meaningful friendships. I can’t imagine my college years without being in a sorority.

What inspired you to join the Panhellenic Council Exec? I was inspired by my other friends that had previously served in Panhellenic Council at Arizona State and at other colleges. Many of my friends that were in Panhellenic Council were women that I aspired to be and follow in their footsteps.

What advice would you give to someone considering joining a sorority? I would encourage someone that is considering joining a sorority to know what is most important to them! When considering any club or organization, I found it very helpful to write down or note what I was hoping to gain from a membership. Looking back, I feel that it helped me also know when I was at the right place!

What inspired you to join the Panhellenic Council Exec? As a freshmen in the Greek community, I was looking for a way to get more involved and further my relationships within the community. With that in mind, I saw the opportunity on the Panhellenic instagram and thought it couldn't hurt to try!

What advice would you give to someone considering joining a sorority? I would tell anyone considering joining a sorority to take the opportunity they have. You have four years of college to try all of these new things whether that be Greek life, clubs, classes, etc. That being said, the best thing you can do is try everything. From my own experience, Greek life has provided me with my best friends, amazing leadership experiences like the Panhellenic Executive Council, and awesome role models to look up to and use as resources in my future.

What inspired you to join the Panhellenic Council Exec? I joined the Panhellenic Council because I knew from when I decided to join a sorority, that I wanted to make the most out of it, and get as involved as I can. Joining the council was a great way to do so, and I have met so many wonderful people, and learned so many wonderful things. It is so exciting to be surrounded by such an inspiring group of leaders, and it makes me strive to better myself, and pursue my goals!

What advice would you give to someone considering joining a sorority? If I were to give advice to someone joining a sorority, it would be to follow your heart. You will meet so many people during recruitment, in such a short amount of time. Your heart will tell you where you feel the happiest and most comfortable, and listen to that feeling. You will meet amazing people, even in the chapters you do not end up joining, so if you’re on the fence, I recommend just trying it out, and going through the process. You never know where you will end up, and that feeling is so exciting! I have made so many meaningful connections, throughout the entire Panhellenic community, and I would wish that for everyone. My last piece of advice would be to confide in your recruitment counselors. They want nothing more than to help you, and be there for you, that’s the whole reason they applied to be a rho gamma! There are so many emotions involved with recruitment, and a lot of long days, utilize the resources you’re given, they have all been through the same exact process.

What advice would you give to someone considering joining a sorority? At the end of the day, everything happens for a reason and is working in your favor whether it looks that way in the moment or not. Trust the process and I can’t wait for you to find your new home!
