Chi Omega

What makes Chi o "Home is where the heart is"

To me, Chi Omega represents “Home is where the heart is” because of many reasons. For one, when I joined Chi Omega as a freshman in 2021, my older sister was in the chapter and I got to run home to her on bid day! It was such a special moment and I will forever cherish the time when my sister and I were in the chapter simultaneously.

Another reason Chi Omega represents “Home is where the heart is'' because of the friendships I have made in this chapter. This past spring I had the opportunity to visit one of my best friends in Italy with a few other sisters in Chi O. This was an amazing trip and we shared so many amazing memories. Even though we were 6,000 miles away from home, my Chi Omega sisters made Italy feel special and exciting. I look forward to many more trips with these sisters.

Another reason Chi Omega represents “Home is where the heart is” is because of the opportunity to live in the chapter house for the past 2 years. This has been my absolute favorite part of my college experience. Whether it's a movie night, getting ready together for formal, or study nights on the balcony, these girls have made Arizona truly feel like home. I have loved living with my best friends and wouldn't change this experience for the world.

President Letter to PNMS

Dear Future PNMs,

I'm Sammie Palatino, the chapter president of Chi Omega, and am thrilled that you've decided to Go Greek! The recruitment process is an exciting and special experience I will always cherish.

Chi Omega is a sorority founded on April 5th, 1895, and is the largest women's fraternal organization with over 400,000 initiated members. Chi Omega was founded at Arizona State on May 5th, 1951, giving our chapter, Psi Epsilon, a strong history at ASU!

Our chapter's national philanthropy is Make-A-Wish, within the past school year, our chapter has raised over 70,000 dollars and has granted 7 wish kids’ wishes. Our chapter holds large philanthropy events yearly: Our Swishes for Wishes Basketball tournament, parents' weekend Make-A-Wish Gala, and the Wishes World Series Baseball tournament. Our chapter gets to work hands-on with our wish kids at various events like sending them off at the airport before their trips or at our Work it for Wishes fashion show.

Chi Omega has been awarded ASU Panhellenic Chapter of the Year for 3 years in a row and ASU’s all-council chapter of the Year for the second year.

Lastly, our chapter hosts a multitude of sisterhood events throughout the semester. My favorite sisterhoods within the past year have been our country line dancing sisterhood, Build A Bear sisterhood, trampoline park, workout classes, and our annual trip to Pinecrest in the fall. Chi O hosts events weekly to meet new sisters and to make more memories.

Our sisterhood and philanthropy events are so important to us and help bring our sisters together to make lifelong memories! We can't wait to meet you and share with you our sisterhood!
